Transfer Market Live Update: Friday, 1st July 2016

In the month of June, so many transfers went down in top flight European leagues. With clubs such as Man City, Juventus, PSG all making new signings.

Same is expected of July as the bid by teams to strengthen up continues. Here are the latest transfer stories:

- Atletico Madrid have opened talks with Chelsea over a move for Diego Costa, with Gonzalo Higuain and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang alternative options. (Daily Mail)

- Pep Guardiola is hoping to manage Thiago at a third club by bringing the midfielder to Manchester City from Bayern Munich this summer.

- Jurgen Klinsmann would jump at the chance to become England manager if offered the job but Arsene Wenger is not interested. (The Sun)

- Watford have rejected a £38 million bid from Shanghai SIPG for striker Odion Ighalo. The Hornets have also turned down offers from Leicester City for Troy Deeney. (The Guardian)
