Wayne Rooney turned 30 yesterday, but opponents don't care. His scalp was cut in a clash of heads with Manchester City's captain, Vincent Kompany during yesterday's match.

Referee Mark Clattenburg ordered him off the pitch with blood gushing from the cut down the side of his head and on to his neck. United medics wiped away the blood on the touchline and then used a staple gun to stem the flow of bleeding.
